Busy July 4th weekend for Squad 8

July 4th - Over the course of the holiday weekend Squad 8 responded to 12 calls. They ranged from lake related calls, to vehicle accidents on I-85, to a stand by for a working structure fire. Squad 8 members that are on the Anderson County Dive Team also responded to help a young man with Cerebral Palsy whose crutches fell into Lake Hartwell. We are happy to report that both were found in approximately 30 feet of water within an   hour. We wish him good luck as he travels back home to Orange County, California.

Squad 8 members stand by for holiday weekend

Many of our members came by the squad during the course of the weekend   to staff our other ambulances and rescue truck. On Monday, 19 squad members stood by and called in a huge order to Fruit Punch. The members also  enjoyed shooting fireworks, and a potato gun that one of our members made in between calls.
